Well – I did say that this wasn’t going to be a regular thing! It’s been a week, and so far nothing earth-shattering has happened. I went to work, came home, stood in front of the fridge, ate dinner, watched TV and went to bed. Ho hum, and kinda dreary if you ask me.
So I thought tonight (and yes – it is night here) I would tell you a bit about myself. So, here goes! I’m a 40-year old Airies with no children, 1 cat and currently single.:-> Well, I say currently – it’s been about 5 years now, and I’m not sure if that’s going to change anytime soon. It’s a bit scary reaching a decade birthday, and people start to look at you with a wierd mix of pity and revulsion when you say you’re not in a relationship. My parents’ friends kids are doing the baby thing – I told my mother some time ago that I’m not really the maternal type. I think she would like grandkids – perhaps my brother will come to the party!:-p I work in community care for the elderly – a very posh way to say I’m a state-funded housekeeper! It’s a job, and being that work is getting harder to come by than available males with no hang-ups or wierd history, I’m sticking to it for the moment.
The gripe of the week is – why all of a sudden is it OK for older women who dare to date younger men to be called cougars? I actually find it really offensive – I almost feel that it’s yet another way for the society to marginalise women of a certain age. Why should young girls have all the fun? I’m starting to feel a grudging respect for Demi Moore – even though I think Aston Kusher is a twit! ;-/
I suppose I should ‘fess up that I am also into tattoos in a big way! By big I mean full back and the tops of both legs. If you stumble on this mum – suprise!! I think she knows – but not to the point of wanting to see it. Dad just anxiously looks every time I see him that the one on my foot has gotten any bigger – don’t worry dad – it’s hurts too damn much!
Well, that’s all for this week – have a great one, and I’ll think of something exciting to talk about next time ![]()
